TO THE POETS OF THE PAST

Where have all the poets gone
In their own right they all shone
Each had a style of their own
Now their words are set in stone.



They shared their thoughts with us all
Some happy, some sad I recall
Some dark but some funny too
All these poets we once knew.



Sadly they`re no longer here
They get fewer by the year
But their poems won`t disappear
Precious words they held so dear.



Some poets simply left this site
Their choice which of course is alright
But others sadly passed away
And they are missed I have to say.



There are so many to name
But friends to us they became
When they passed it was sad
But to have known them we`re glad.
